Karyn Ellis (B.C./ Ontario) -- Guelph Mercury calls her a "revelation". The Globe & Mail states she has "a magical way with song" and included her as one of "Five must-see songstresses" at NXNE.

Ellis creates music that is "twangy and cool and unpredictable... difficult to classify and impossible to resist." (Indie-music.com) "This is a woman with stories" (Calgary Herald). Shortlisted for the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award in 2009 & 2010 and awarded an Honourable Mention in the 2010 Island Mountain Songwriting Contest, Ellis' folk-based pop songs are beautiful and sad, uplifting and quirky; she maps out the bittersweet trajectories of relationships with a distinctively sweet voice, unique guitar style and gentle sense of humour.
