Live Now Association

Al Mejia was known to many as the guy with a perpetual twinkle in his eye and an infectious laugh. He started Live Now in the early 70's after discovering, on his own, a way of transforming his life of misery into a life of endless blessings. What worked for Al worked for others as well. Al helped many people simply by talking with them. The lucky ones had their lives change deeply.

These videos are about living from your spiritual center - the real you - rather than living from your thinking - that part that thinks it is you and is the cause of all your problems. The Live Now process enables you to see what you need to see as you do what you need to do so you stay firmly in that center of clarity that is you.

Live Now is a practical alternative to meditation, mental health counseling and other forms of spiritual practice or, it can be used in conjunction with any of them. Most spiritual practice and meditation teach forms of passive acknowledgement of the ego - the thinking that thinks it is you. Live Now gives you tools to directly confront the thinking - TO ACTUALLY TALK TO IT - and deprogram it and quickly achieve freedom from it. You come to see that your true nature and the peace you seek is right there where you are, at all times. It is as close to you as your intuition and your breathing. You don't need to meditate for hours or isolate yourself in a monastery or reach some desired state to access it. It is directly available to you through doing your normal daily activities.

Everyone begins the Live Now process the same way: Simply ask yourself OUT LOUD "what do I need to do now?" before beginning any activity. Wait for your intuition to answer - don't think - do what the intuition says to do. When you finish that activity ask yourself again OUT LOUD "what do I need to do now? Wait for the intuition to answer - not the thinking - and do what the intuition says to do. The thinking will think this is silly or it doesn't need to do it. But, you do it anyway. It must be simple so it can be a nonthinking activity. The best place to look for your intuition to answer is in the upper chest area where you feel your breathing. If you are in public you can whisper or mouth the words. Don't think them. You can go through your whole day this way; doing what your intuition says to do and not thinking. Observe. If you forget, just do it when you remember. You are beginning to separate from the thinking. You see that you are different from the thinking that thinks it is you. This becomes a form of meditation that you take with you where ever you go during the day. Do what you need to do and observe. These videos present tools to move further in the Live Now process. They show how one is guided to stay centered and separate from the thinking. It is best to watch Al's videos first, then the Live Now Basics videos. The Talking with Helen videos show how someone is guided through the Live Now process.
