The primary goal of the City Beautification Ensemble is the vigorous and continual battle against the ever increasing Blight of Dullness. We believe that colours have long been denied their rightful place admid our current urban infrastructure and we ask ourselves - why must concrete always be grey? Wouldn't a dash of colour do more for the people of this city?

The Ensemble believe that the colour of any given landscape should be considered as an integral part of urban design, as the treatment of the spaces between and around buildings is often of comparable importance to the design of the buildings themselves. Through direct colour intervention the CBE strive to change the notable effects of Grey on the citizens living in the City of Toronto.

Colour has a basic appeal and effect on everyone and the CBE believes that site specific colour-application systems can cultivate an understanding of the way in which colour can increase the general quality of life of any given neighborhood.

Using only the best in designer tones, the Ensemble brings into the landscape a palette of colour that is professionally applied using our industry standard manual high-pressure application system.

Laying down colour to the offending areas, our colour applications act as 'soft-spots' within the harshness that surrounds, a calming place for the eye to take a breath. Through a careful and near scientific approach to colour selection the CBE ensures that the right hue is applied to the appropriate area.
