Hi Judy! I just "favorited" your website and sent it to some of my friends on Facebook that are beginning knitters. :) Thanks for the great videos and tips - looking forward to seeing more! In the meantime, I plan to attempt the scrap toy octopus. ;) Thanks again!

to leroy the bunny below...i have the same problem. I noticed though that on the first few rows it looks sort of loopy, but then it sort of tightens itself up after you work a few rows. At least thats what happens to me...

btw, judy...your vids are the only ones that make sense to me! YOU taught me to knit.

Thank you!

(continued from previous comment) ... and there is a difference between my cast on and cast off. Do you have any solution to this? Is there a different cast off method that will match what I have? Or is there some way to "tighten" my cast on end? (I have a garter stitch border, if that makes a difference). The one option that I don't have is to rip the piece out and start over. It wasn't a very complicated pattern but it's fairly time consuming and I'm nearly done, so I'd hate to have to do all that again. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Judy! I just want to thank you for all your videos! They are great! I learned to knit years ago, but just picked it up again. I've been starting some more complicated work that required more than one skein of yarn so your videos on adding a new ball of yarn and weaving in the ends were most helpful! I did have one question for you... I used your two needle cast on method and maybe I didn't do something right but after knitting a few rows I noticed that I have these fairly large loops running along the bottom of my piece. It doesn't look terrible, but it's definitely not as "tight" as my old method of casting on (I'm not sure what it's called, I just used one needle and made loops with my hand by making one twist and slipping it onto the needle). My concern is that with my new cast on, the cast off won't match. I watched your cast off video and tried it on a sample piece

Your knitting videos are the best on youtube. Your voice is perfect. I can see exactly what you're doing. You go slow enough to follow, and then you speed up a little so we can see how a long-time knitter would be doing it. This is what I need. I have crocheted for thirty years and finally sat myself down to learn to knit. It's a process, let me tell you, and your videos have been THE most helpful ones around. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos and then load them up to youtube.
