WHO AM I?
I'm a professionally trained make-up artist and Computer Science major from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Make-up has always been a passion - probably due to the excessive amounts I had to wear while in competitive dance! Before December 2008, my fun with cosmetics and beauty products did not leave the confines of my vanity or bathroom. I thought of starting a blog or website where I would review beauty products and make-up swatches, but while home for the Christmas holidays I came across a number of "Beauty Gurus" on Youtube. They inspired me to make my own Youtube channel that holiday break. It has been a wonderful experience and I have met so many amazingly kind and talented people!
Although born in Toronto, I currently live in Montreal. In the Fall of 2009 I decided to take a little hiatus from my Computer Science studies and attend Beauty School. That year I graduated with Honours from L'École Internationale d'Édith Serei with my degree in Make-up Artistry. Although I did decide to receive a certification for makeup artistry, I am a firm believer that with art (and that includes make-up!) practice makes perfect and there is very little you cannot teach yourself! Youtube is an incredible resource and I have learned a lot from watching fellow "beauty gurus" demonstrate the techniques they have learned!

Q. What nationality are you?
A. A lot of people actually think that my nationality is much more exotic than it is! (That's okay by me!) I was born in Canada, and my ancestry is English and Irish. My grandpa was born in England, while the rest of my family is Canadian - from Ontario & Newfoundland. There is a rumour that my grandma is part Native American, but I'm not sure how true that is...I wish it were true! (I love Native American culture.) Our last name is Hindi, which confuses people a lot...So I might have some very distant Indian ancestors...somewhere.
