mainly mainstream coverage of Climate Camps 2009, 2008 and 2007 (though some other random stuff as well!)
About Me:

disabled rights campaginer / eco-activist.
I had a stroke at the Camp for Climate Change at Drax power station in 2006. I think it was partly trying to camp whilst very ill and needing support etc. and partly due to police oppression. I don't go to camp any more, but I do archive the mainstream media's coverage, for posterity and to reflect back to Camp how they are being portrayed.

I would also recommend looking at http://www.kenttv.com who have some of the best "mainstream" coverage of climate camp 2008 and its actions, some of the footage not available elsewhere.
Country:
United Kingdom

I'm sorry about the annoying banner that appears throughout this footage - a great shame especially given the coverage that hasn't appeared elsewhere.

thanks Matt - and lol, yes I caught that comment too. It didn't stop the Beeb from continuing to report on the copper with serious head injuries being airlifted to hospital throughout the rest of th emorning.

I'd just like to eco Calvin's comments. This archive is incredibly important/useful/interesting for thinking about how we appear in the media. Great work.

Mattx

p.s- according to my mum, one bbc correspondent doing a live link on sunday morning said "All three police officers who sustained injuries, have now been released from hospital, so obviously they weren't as badly hurt as they said they were"...she may have been heavily reading between the lines, but I thought it was funny.

thanks 4 the uploads. yeah the mainstream media have been true to the agenda of the sponsors and personally i think its time to focus some D.A. on the BBC, so called public service broadcasters, and the fact that they are letting down the citizens. That would grab the attention of their competitors at least. YIP! BJ
