Set up by lead Producer-Actor Sanjay Suri, Producer-Director Onir, Creative Director and Photographer Raj Suri and a team of creative professionals, KAHWA Entertainment is an Independent film production house based in Mumbai, India.
With over 15 years of experience in the Indian Motion Picture Industry, Kahwa team has been at the forefront of the current revolution of Independent Cinema in India.
In 2005 they independently produced the award winning film "My Brother Nikhil" under the banner of "Four Front Films" that premiered at "Frameline" (San Francisco). This was followed by winning at Montreal (Image+ Nation film festival) and at the 20th Milan International LGBT Festival for the same film. My Brother Nikhil was screened at many more festivals and was successfully released in India by Yash Raj Films.
Producers 3rd feature film "I AM" (www.iamthefilms.com), made under the lead banner of "Anticlock Films" is one of India's first crowd sourced films and was premiered in New York at the I-View Film Festival and had its Canadian Premier at the "Vancouver International Film Festival '2010". I AM was also officially selected at Guggenhiem BERLIN' 2010 and Won the NETPAC Award for Best in Asian Cinema and Special Jury Mention at the 15th International Film Festival of Kerala 2010. I AM deals with issues and dilemmas that bruise the modern Indian society.
