Twist Yo' Wrist (2 weeks ago)
It probably wouldn't be a bad idea, but there are other exercises that I'd probably include. I'm not an MD though.
Twist Yo' Wrist (2 weeks ago)
I have a regular wrist roller that I made w. PVC and climbing rope - it works very well for regular wrist extension and flexion, but it doesn't do anything for ulnar & radial extension. You don't need the Twist Yo' Wrist - you can do work w. a plate loadable dumbell (load one side and go to town). Ironmind stuff is all good, but not cheap - I think it was around $30.
Squat Rx #12 (Part I) (2 weeks ago)
I talk about this in the blog in an entry titled "I Can't Squat ATF and Other Tales of Woe..". Send me a PM if you can't find it.
Squat Rx #1 (2 weeks ago)
Probably - my knees have cracked since I was a wee lad. Never had any knee issues to speak of (knock on wood).
The Beep Test (2 weeks ago)
Thanks guys. It's the "beep test" - a 20 meter shuttle run endurance test. You keep running back and forth until you fall off the pace of the caller and chimes.

Hey-
I wanna start by saying your videos are great! They are really, really good and straight instruction, which is what most people need. Thank you very very much for taking the time to make them. They help me a lot.

Also, I was wondering if you could point me towards some similar videos, except for the deadlift? Or any kind of form-training video that you find to be correct and effective and would recommend. Same thing for the bench.

Thanks again!

I would try some olympic weightlifting shoes - there are more reasonable shoes, but they would probably be less expensive than high end orthotic inserts. I have slightly fallen arches as well and even though I use Chucks once in a while for squatting, I prefer OL shoes.

Hello, good videos. I've been squatting for about 4 years now on and off and it is finally good to be able to see some really good videos. reading text descriptions on form and still photos didnt quite cut it back then. I can thank youtube though for this. Anyway, I have a question about footwear. I believe I am flat footed. As I increase my weights through squatting and deadlifting or even shoulder pressing, I start to get nasty foot cramps and pains in my heel, arch area and sometimes the blade of my feet. I've tried flat soled shoes, running sneakers (that deep sinking feeling isn't cool!) and walking shoes. Nothing has really helped. I'm thinking about going to a foot doctor and getting some heavy duty carbon based orthodics to put in my shoes. Any suggestion for footwear (with flat foot-edness in mind)? thanks!

Squatting for over 20 years now....and still learning!

Have just spent an afternoon watching your Squat RX series.

Thank you!
Very clear, non-patronising and instructive.

I'll definitely be trying the stretches and pre/rehab straight away!

Greetings from Ireland, Peter
