Joey is the eldest of 5 siblings. Born to parents Kristy & Joey Sr. on Oct. 6 1991 in California. Joey started singing at tender age of 5, performing at church and karaoke with
the family. Joey is of Portugese and Filipino heritage.
Joey began performing for the public by joining High School show choir and various other groups.
At 13 years of age, Joey entered a local competition called "Urgency Idol", with well over 200 people auditioned and he was placed in the finals and ultimately made it to 3rd place. Joey won $500.
Joey placed his first youtube video on the site in 2006. It was when Joey would get to school where random people whom Joey did not speak with would come up to him
and say they recognized him from his videos on YouTube.
Joey's youtube video of his cover of the classic record "My Girl", really took off. It garnered more than 2 million views within' a few days. Joey was then asked to sing at various
functions ( B-day parties, High School , Quincenaras, etc., ) Joey's YouTube channel has culminated into one of the most popular on the site. With thousands and thousands
of subscribers and 30 million views and counting. Recognition is apparent, as Mr. Diamond's celebrity continues to grow.
Joey Diamond has garnered a legion of fans, and supporters throughout the globe. Joey has since gone on to perform in various concerts with Sean Kingston and others. With a fan
base that exceeds international borders ie., U.S., U.K., Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Philippines, South America and more.
Touring Australia with various club performances, etc.,... Performing at a national t.v. network ( MYX.TV ) and all over the California and U.S.
Joey was soon asked to perform in his very first major concert in Toronto,Canada on Feb.26, 2012. In November of 2011, Joey Diamond signed with artist management Shakir Entertainment in New York City ( North Jersey ).
Mr. Diamond will also headline another "major" concert event in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 2, 2012.
The Joey Diamond dream is alive and well, and moving globally to secure this talents place amongst the stars.
