Joel Waldman es un colombiano procedente de la ciudad de Bogotá. Es hijo de padres artistas: actriz y arquitecto. Es músico por naturaleza; aprendió a tocar el piano por sí solo a los 5 años y, a los 9 ya cantaba canciones publicitarias para TV y radio.
Su talento no se hizo esperar y en el 2006 se matriculo en Berklee College of Music tras recibir una beca, donde estudio "Contemporary Writing and Production" y Voz. El siguiente año compone la música para la obra de teatro "The Trial of God", presentada "Off Broadway" en NYC y otros teatros importantes en Boston.
En octubre del 2009 gana junto con Daniel Dayz, la final del concurso "Berklee Canta en Español" transmitido por TELEVISA por mas de 60 países en el Lunario del Auditorio Nacional en México D.F. Ha compartido escenario con artistas como Carlos Vives, Tommy Torres, Alexander Acha y Juan Luis Guerra para quien escribió y dirigió las voces de su tributo realizado en Boston, además preparó las partituras para la banda de Whitney Houston en su tour mundial en el año 2010.

Joel Waldman is originally from Bogota-Colombia, graduated from Berklee College of Music (2009). A son of artists (Architect and actress), he teaches himself to play the piano at 5 years old, and at 9, he is already singing commercial music for T.V and Radio (jingles and voiceovers). It wouldn't take long to start writing his own songs and teaches himself to play the guitar as well: his favorite instrument. At the age of 19, he gets hired by the Jewish community of Medellin, Colombia, as the official Cantor (Chazan) for the high holidays. In 2006 He enrolls at Berklee after receiving a scholarship and he majored in Contemporary Writing and Production. In 2007 he composes the music for the play ìThe Trial of God presented Off Broadway in NYC and other important theaters in Boston. In October of 2009 he wins with Daniel Dayz the final round of the contest Berklee Canta en Español broadcasted through TELEVISA in more than 60 countries at the Lunario del Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, D.F. For the commencement concert in May 09, he was chosen to write and coordinate the Background vocals for the tribute to Juan Luis Guerra and conducted "La Bilirrubina" (after transcribing it) with Juan Luis on stage. Among his arrangements and writing gigs, he did Score and Parts preparation for Whitney Houston and Doc Severinsen and also performed with Colombian superstar Carlos Vives. He co-arranged and co-produced his 5-song EP: Nada Es Accidental which is now for sale on Itunes, Bandcamp, Amazon and other stores!
