Are you aware of any books that discuss the history of germ theory in a chronological order? I love science books that take one subject and weave a history.

You may have already read this title but "The Ghost Map" is a book about John Snow who is the father of epidemiology and was instrumental in the development of anesthesiology. Talk about a great human being who lessoned suffering in this world.
