OK, your last post was pretty funny. Pole smoker, UTI, etc. I guess we're more alike then I thought. No I didn't go to UTI, was local education and most of my practical knowledge was earned on the job. Nope, no jap cars, I hate 'em. I'm a V8 guy. My pride and joy is my 1982 Ford truck with a 505CI big block (stroked 460), makes 500HP or so, body off resto by me. I also have a 1978 Vette too, all work done by me, 350HP. Yes I know you can put a lopey cam in a diesel, it just isn't necessary to make crazy power numbers. That's one of the things that makes them so cool. It's best to make an engine idle as good as possible- fuel distribution, atomization, fuel economy, etc. But of course we all love the lopey idle.
