Since NASA - (N)ever (A) (S)traight (A)nswer won't disclose the "REAL TRUTH" about what 's really out there, they leave us to find out the truth for ourselves.
Therefore, in the pursuit of the age-old question, "Are we the only ones out there?", I've committed myself in capturing infrared night vision videos here in S.E. Michigan. I'm hoping to capture some real spectacular footage very soon.
My setup is quite simple, I just attach an infrared night vision camera to a tripod, and through my analog to digital converter, I can capture (real time) video directly to my computer's hardrive. I also recommend the Meade 8 Inch LX200-ACF Telescope for obtaining coordinates! With a push of a button, you can obtain 145,000 celestial objects!
I live in a rural area where there's hardly any light pollution. I just started filming in Sept 2009. Lot's of UFO activity has occurred throughout the world recently, and I'm trying to capture as much video as I can for everyone to see.
Equipment setup:
1.) Yukon Digital Night Vision Ranger (5x42) - (awesome infrared camera!)
2.) Tripod (Slik U9000)
3.) 2.0 USB Video Capture Cable
4.) Dell Studio XPS 1640 (Intel Dual Core 2.67GHz with 4GB Ram)
5.) Meade 8" LX200-ACF Telescope
for obtaining ALL coordinates!
6.) Canon HD Vixia HF20 Camcorder (another great camera!)
I strive in capturing quality videos. I also try to capture something static in the background (like stationary stars) in order to get a good handle of the object(s) relative motion.
If you're interesed in recording the same kind of images for yourself, a regular telescope with an IR lens will not work.
A dedicated IR camera with a min. 5x's magnification is required. It will need to have a built-in video output jack for recording to your computer.
