I'm a fannish vidder who goes by astolat on livejournal, shalott in my vids, intimations on twitter. Most of my vids aren't hosted here because of YouTube's takedown policies -- you can find them at http://intimations.org/ for download instead.
I also take video of joyous fannish occasions like Adam Lambert singing his face off in my immediate vicinity. *g*
I am currently using the Canon PowerShot SX1IS which is fabulous and takes 1080p HD video, has 20x optical zoom/80x digital, and can zoom and also take photos while filming.
