The non-partisan Independent Institute supports a deeper understanding of public policy issues and possible solutions and fosters new and effective directions for government reform. The Institutes program adheres to the highest standards of independent scholarly inquiry, and the resulting studies by our Research Fellows are published and widely distributed as commentaries, books, articles in The Independent Review, Policy Reports, Working Papers, and other publications. Events sponsored by the Institute bring together scholars and policy experts to discuss policy issues and their implications. In addition, the Institute publishes a weekly email newsletter, The Lighthouse, and we maintain an extensive online archive of Institute articles and studies on a variety of issues.
