You can call me Carolyn, 화 장미, or Haru. I have been studying Japanese for about 4 years (though I only took a few actual classes before my parents gave me the "take REAL classes" ultimatum speech...) and I've been teaching myself Korean for almost a year, now. I absolutely LOVE languages.
I really AM as old as my profile says, so I'm in college pursuing a degree in Asian American Ethnic Studies. I want to use my education to help get more ethnic studies classes into High Schools and colleges, and also would like to work to better my community by working with youth programs.

LOL okay the TRUTH will make you laugh, I'm sure. It isn't that I haven't memorized the LYRICS, it's that I often can't pay attention to my own singing so I write the music down in a way to keep myself on-track for the ornamentals and adlibs. Here's an example of what I am looking at, which is like hella ghetto sheet music:

yeah - it makes sense to me, and only me hahaha
