This is the seventh in an eight part online movie series showcasing Jay's effective horse training techniques and how any wild horse can be trained so that even a novice can ride it. In this episode, Jay helps as Matthew Ford rides his mustang for the first time. Visit http://www.jayojay.com for the full episode!
I was wondering if you could help me with a problem I'm having with my mare.
She is a Standard bred and she used to race in a harness. The first time we tried to trot we thought she'd pace. The guy that had her before her last owner said she had a smooth trot. NOT RIGHT! She goes up and down purposely, we can't touch her with our legs when she does this no matter how hard we try. It's impossible to post or sit. It literally knocks the wind out of us. We try collecting, then she plants her feet and stops. We have seen her trot and pace nicely when she's outside or being lounged. She's a faker.
