--------Why Follow an Imam?--------
"O you who believe! Follow Allah; follow the Messenger and those of authority (Amr) amongst you." (Surah Al-Nisaa: 59)
"So, ask the people (having the knowledge) of the Message, if you do not know". (16:43)(21 :7)
"Do you know all the various laws of Deen? Are you capable of extracting and deriving the laws pertaining to wudhu, salaah, zakaah, etc. directly from the Qur'an and Hadith? Do you know which Hadith has abrogated another? Do you have the ability to reconcile between the various Ahadith which apparently contradict each other? Do you know which verses of the Qur'an are general in their application and which verses are qualified by other texts?"
If not then the following aayah applies "Ask those of knowledge if you do not know." (16:43 & 21:7)
Hence due to not having enough knowledge in these fields we have opted to follow one of those great people who had attained that distinguished mastery in this field, among whom is a Tabiee, Imaam Abu Hanifa (R.A.).

Confused about Fiqh, well don't be. Difficult topics will be clarified by reliable and qualified scholars by proper use of Quran and sunnah. Just like you wouldn't let an amateur perform your surgical operation, dont let amateurs confuse you about Islam.
Nowadays it has become a fashion to do DIY islam [do it yourself islam]. Many a people are being mislead into following their desires rather than classical Mujatahid scholars who have attained mastery in this field and their fiqh has been critically analysed, approved and passed on throughout the history of Islam. .
Hanafees follow the authentic sunnah of Prophet Muhammad [pbuh], but in matters where there is a difference of opinion we follow the ijtihaad of a well known Tabiee, Imam Abu Haneefah [ra] whilst others may follow imam Shafi'ee, Imaam Ahmed bin Hanbal and Imam Malik.

oh i really also wanted 2 ask do i have 2 wear the niqab so it obligatory because i heard some madhabs say it is? but i wanted 2 know from the hanafi madhab jazakhallah!
