Bitsy Bears were produced by Tyco in 1991-92. They were a series of 4" flocked poseable bears and each one had its own wind-up action.
There was also an animated video.

Hugga Bunch :: Commercials & Movie
Hugga Bunch was produced by Hallmark and orginally started as characters on greeting cards. Eventually they rose to be a big hit in the early to mid 1980's and soon Hugga Bunch came in the form of books, dolls, clothes, toys, lunchboxes, and even a movie!

Popples :: Commercials & Movie
Popples started life characters in a Saturday morning cartoon that aired in the USA in 1986. The characters were created by Those Characters From Cleveland (TCFC), a subsidiary company of American Greetings, and the plush toys were manufactured by Mattel from 1986-88. Popples became so popular that hoards of accessories were also produced.
Popples, like several other toys from the 1980's, have been re-issued. They were firstly re-released in 2001 by Toymax, then again in 2007 by Playmates Toys and yet again by Furyu in 2009.

Puppy Surprise :: Commercials
Puppy Surprise etc. were produced by Hasbro in the early 1990's. Each set comprised of a plush mother animal measuring about 12 inches long and a number of soft babies which were about 4 inches long. They had plastic faces and came in a variety of colours. The number of babies included varied and each one was different. The mothers came with a name tag around their necks which also came in a variety of colours.

Strawberry Shortcake :: Commercials
Strawberry Shortcake was produced by Kenner in the early 1980's, with Strawberry Shortcake herself being originally created as a greeting card by American Greetings. She and her friends became so popular that it led to the production of thousands of other products, including video games, sticker albums, clothes, movies and much more. SSC dolls and accessories were re-issued in 1991, again in 2002 and still going strong today!
There were 21 characters in total, released over five years in various forms. Each doll was dressed in a hat, dress, pants, stripy socks and shoes (or similar) and scented like their name and all came with pets.
