Geek the Library is a community-based public awareness campaign designed to highlight the vital role of public libraries and raise awareness about the critical funding issues they face.
The campaign introduces the word geek as a verb and draws attention to the fact every individual is passionate about something and anyone can learn more about what they geek—what they are passionate about—at the public library.
The awareness campaign is brought to you by OCLC, a nonprofit library cooperative, with funding by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Geekthelibrary.org does not support or oppose any candidate for public office and does not take positions on legislation.
What do you geek? Show us. Create a video talking about what you geek and why. And remember, whatever you geek, the public library supports you.
