Remember that using the inventory (Survey Monkey link) helps you order your preferences so that you have a starting place to find out what works for you. We don't all have a clear preference and we need to play with strategies till we get the right combination. For example, learning new theories and concepts that you need to remember and apply -- for your Visual Reading preference, flash cards with terms on one side and definitions and examples on the other, a flow chart to illustrate a process; for your Visual side, a mind map, personalize your notes with colour and graphics to create a picture for your mind-eye; for your Auditory side, discuss with a study group, create quiz questions and answer aloud, rhyme terms you need to remember; for your Kinesthetic side, stories and examples are key and allow you to experience the learning. My advice, start with any strategy that appeals to you and see if it works -- if not adapt, change till you come up with the right combination.
