If anyone asks Gabriela Frei what the desire of her heart is, the answer would undeniably be to sing for the Lord.

A gifted pianist, composer, and songwriter, Gaby has been singing for as long as she can remember. And there can be no greater blessing than to combine doing what you love for Who you love.

Gaby's first album, Light Unto the World, gives just a taste of what walking with the Lord and allowing Him to work His will in her life has been like. A graduate of Franciscan University, Gaby has had the opportunity for four years to learn more about her faith and experience the love of God in a deeper, more intimate, and real way. Her music testifies to that love.

For Gaby, music is the rhythm of life, a glimpse into eternity, a joining with the angels and saints in worship of God. It is her passion, her deepest joy. When she sings, she says she feels closest to the One who inspires her song.

Her music has emerged from what the Lord has whispered in her heart over the years. It has become her ministry and mission to share with the world the healing and peace that God has poured into her life through music.

Gaby's voice has a quiet strength that appeals to young and old alike. From the driving rhythm of "Rescue Me" to the poignant prayer of "Peace in Jesus," the intensity of "Safe Within His Arms" to the awestruck wonder of "What Love is This," Gaby's music speaks to every heart, touching a chord deep within that inspires the listener to praise God. Her newest songs, such as "Transfigure," "FIAT," and others, reveal how Gaby continues to mature both spiritually and musically.

Gaby constantly turns to the Lord for inspiration to compose, play, and sing. Psalm 42:9, one of her life verses, declares: "...May the Lord bestow faithful love that I may sing praise..., praise to the God of my life."

Gaby opens her own heart through her song, not simply singing of what she has heard, but of what she knows from experience to be true. "Why, God?" was inspired by a car accident that Gaby suffered, a tragic situation that taught her that the Lord never abandons a suffering heart. "The Present Moment," her brand new song, testifies to the difficult, yet incredibly freeing challenge to look for the Lord in the present, without fear of what tomorrow might bring.

Gaby's sound is meditational, lyrical, eloquent, and soul-stirring. She sings from the depths of her heart, a musical biography that gives testimony to her personal encounter with the Lord: "The greatest gift would be to be able to bring others to a greater understanding of the peace and love of the Lord through my song. He has been so faithful and good to me, and I simply want others to know the depths of His mercy and love."
