I decided to have LASIK on August 25th, 1999 at Saint George Vision by Nicholas Caro. Worst decision of my life. He told me that I was the perfect candidate, and it has been proven that he botched my LASIK procedure through medical records.

The problem with ALL LASIK PROCEDURES isn't that a LASIK doctor necessarily botches a procedure, but rather that ALL LASIK PROCEDURES create a permanent flap that never heals and causes your eyes to produce exponentially less tear film over time, giving you an incurrable condition called: DES "Dry Eye Syndrome."

Look on tv and be convinced. Restasis came out and has upward sales growth because of so many LASIK procedures causing millions of people to become adicted to Post LASIK Re-wetting drops.

The FDA is NOT even enforcing Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (LASIK Centers) to make sure they report ALL unhappy patient outcomes. Therefore, the herd of patients are thinking that LASIK is 95.4% successful (post 6 month studies), when in reality they have no idea how successful it is because none of the doctors seem to be reporting Adverse Events.

Worst yet, the LASIK doctors and FDA has been made aware of this, yet chooses to do NOTHING to protect the American people which it is paid $1 billion a year to do.

That is why I am so passionate about my Post LASIK Advocacy work, as I know first hand that this is happening and other's like me are trying our best to warn you that LASIK is NOT 95.4% successful, but maybe like 25% successful and it also depends on how a patient defines success versus the PRO PROFIT LASIK INDUSTRY that pays billions to lobbyist to protect their "gravy train."

Lastly, if you do have elective LASIK and fork out $5k, make sure your doctor gives you your PRE LASIK TOPOGRAPHIES and EYE PRESCRIPTIONS (OD/OS), etc...

I wish you well. Please do your homework. If you come back to me with an answer like, "yeah Dean, but I went to a very good doctor and you did not." Then my answer to you, is keep researching and this time, don't ask the doctors who you're paying $5k for a 15 min. procedure, but go online and speak to patients who care for you and your family enough to take the time to get their story out to you.

PS-No one ever committed SUICIDE from having to wear contacts or glasses. But with LASIK, go online, there are many suicides.

PS-Kashmira Karanjia, Tiger Woods' ex, had LASIK right after Tiger by the same doctor, yet is ruined with no recourse. Why didn't this story make the news? Do your research...
