I am a African American woman who just got sick and tired of chemically and physically straightening my hair to the "European" standard. This channel will chronicle my experiences as I explore and reflect on these years of my life as woman with natural, kinky, coiled, tightly curled, "nappy" hair. I have also learned lots about taking care of my body, health, etc. I am on a weight loss journey... I hope you will enjoy this as much as I will.

I saw the movie Fat sick and nearly dead last night. it so touched me. I have been considering doing a water fast for some time now and I will start in a few days. I cam across your channel thanks for sharing and how are you doing so far?

Well, I think you are a beautiful sister and so is your hair! I love alot of the natural hair styles you are wearing in the photos...they look so great on you. I have been wearing my hair natural for 11yrs now. I have not put heat on my hair at all for 6yrs. It sometimes gets hard because you still have to treat your hair gently but my hair is much healthier now.

I saw your sorority series on your other channel Simone56 and wanted to know if you heard of Pi Nappa Kappa? They state that Pi Nappa Kappa is a Natural Hair Sorority that is dedicated to the advancement of natural hair knowledge, preservation and the development of integrity. I think it is strange that their is a natural hair sorority.
