I'm using BLENDER 3D Foundation. A Free 3D Rendering/Modelling/Animation software. Much like 3DS Max, Maya, LightWave, etc. except it's free and really powerful. Even my slow PC could handled the stress and the software only needs around 100mb of space (hahaha not including your work files that could take up to gigabytes of space though).
