I don't know that mentioning the Bible is helpful. You just lost confidence.
The governments in the US are suppose to be secular & decisions work much better that way.
If you advertise being extra religious, you will bring many questions to your ability to make proper decisions.

Look at Romney & Huckabee. They had better: knowledge, ideas, skills, etc. But too much Christianity can get in the way. It doesn't mean that decisions would be bad, but voter perceptions are negative, that there would be interference on thinking.

However, I have no idea why so many voters became zombies, to fall for the campaign of hope & change, being so anti-business & pro-redistribution & for the nanny-state.
