About Me:

I love old adventure games (especially ones from Sierra On-Line)!

I started playing adventure games when I was 10 or so on my Amiga 500 (it had TWO diskette drives! Yeah!) I think the first one I ever played was Space Quest I. I loved it! I couldn't type at the time but I remember I figured out how to type "open door" so I could type it really fast :-) Yeah, I was big stuff.

After SQ1, I played Police Quest I, the Leisure Suit Larry games, then King's Quest, Quest For Glory. I played other games too, not just Sierra, but most everything I ever played were adventure games. Even today, I much prefer a game with a great story to one with an emphasis on action.

Anyway, my Amiga is where I started my Quest for Adventure Games, which led to my love of computers and programming. Eventually, I decided I wanted to write my own adventure game. I learned that writing a game is HARD WORK and takes MUCH more talent than I have, but I tried my hand at it anyway.

Sammy's Quest is a game that I co-wrote using Adventure Game Studio (AGS). Check out my walkthrough and my how-to on using AGS to create an adventure game of your own.

Writing a game, even with AGS, takes a lot of dedication and a lot of time. I started Sammy's Quest with a friend of mine, thinking it wouldn't take more than a few weeks to finish. Four months later, we had just barely finished and it was ready to go (and you can see that it's kind of cheesy). But we had fun and I wanted to give something back so I came up with the tutorials on how to use AGS.

If you have any comments or just want to chat about adventure games, leave me a comment!!

I've been using your tutorial vids to help me with the MAGS game I'm working on, I just want to say thank you, 'cause I think I'm able to actually get something decent out in a month because of them. =)
