On the heels of opening our all-suite residence hall in 2013, Corning Community College launched three exciting renovations that will change the face of its Spencer Hill Campus. Upgrades to the athletic facilities will rewrite the play book for our athletes and spectators alike; transformations to the library will create a 21st Century environment for quiet study and collaborative learning, as well as a re-designed Learning Commons, which will put academic and tutoring resources at your fingertips when you need them. And, we're re-imagining the Student Commons as the social hub of Spencer Hill, as well as the single place on campus where prospective and current students can take care of all student business and get services. Our students lead busy lives. These renovations are designed to ensure student success and are mindful of our students' needs to make productive use of their time on campus. All of this by January 2015.
"50 Years, 50 Faces" is the story of Corning Community College - as of its 50th anniversary in 2007 - told by the people who know it best: its faculty and staff, both past and present. Personal interviews were interwoven with archival photographs from CCC's first fifty years to showcase the institution's journey from humble beginnings to a multi-faceted 21st Century institution of higher education. "50 Years, 50 Faces" brings to life the past, reflects on the present, and contemplates the future of Corning Community College.
