About Me:

I should say, first off, that if I've added you as a friend, it's because I think we have something in common and I'd like to keep in touch with you, or that you might be interested in my youtube adventures. Occasionally (very rarely) I add someone somewhat randomly just for fun. I don't send you vids every 5 minutes (unlike SOME people...) but I do when I'm excited about something, or think you might find it interesting. I also DO keep an eye on friends' activities- I often watch what you favorite and rate and upload, and almost ALWAYS watch what is sent to me.

For my subscribers (and potential subscribers) what you can expect in the near future: more of my music with work of other visual artists, possibly music of friends and associates from time to time, some more recordings of my father, and I'm working on producing some of my stories as some sort of video.

Hope you enjoy.

Robert P. Mitchell, II is a composer and writer currently living in South Korea. In high school, he attended the Manhatten School of Music Preperatory Division. He got his Bachelor of Music in Composition from the Mannes College of Music, where he studied under Robert Cuckson, Carl Schachter, David Loeb, and others.

He got his Master of Music in Composition at the Florida State University, where he studied under Ladislav Kubik.

He has had his music performed by major symphony orchestras, and had music performed all over the world.

As a violinist and singer, he has performed at Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center.

One or two things in the preceding information is false. (I bet you'd be surprised which.)
Edison said "genius is 2% inspiration and 98% perspiration."
I say it is rather "2% inspiration, 28% perspiration, and 70% reputation."
Since you're smart and patient enough to have read this far, why not judge my work on its own merits, rather than what you imagine my career may or may not have been like....

Most of the recordings I have are currently computer simulations, as most of the music I have recorded is still back in the US. But I think with some imagination, you can get the general idea.

Hey Robert. I'm in the middle of moving and all the details involved, so the song cycle is on hold for another week here, but I'm in love with the harmonies and can't wait to have it performed hopefully early in the new year. I'll be posting!
