Hey, Chris: Beautiful demos and a great lesson! I can't believe I've only just come across you and your playing. Love your style and amazing cross-harp adventures, comparable to the work of Howard Levy and Carlos Del Junco. Two notes on the 11th-position scale I can't figure out -- do you play the fourth (Eb) and the octave Bb? Do you have to overblow a reed to get these, or just studiously avoid them?

(One other question -- in what scheme do you count to the nth degree of cross-harp? Cycle of 4ths?)

Thanks so much!

I think it's hilarious how 'someone' has just uploaded a video of Sting's 'It's probably me'...hmm. Right after you did it. LOL. Well at least there's no singing attempted on that one (thankfully). On the Dire Straits one the vocals were cringe-worthy. Why don't some people just realize their limitations...not everyone has a singing voice? Now Cheryl Arena can belt 'em out...I've finally been listening (and duping) some of my stuff from the Torch Club...boy she wowed the guys there. So did you...I have some neat video. (Will get them out 'asap' realizing it takes me a while). Now that's a lady who can do it all. Still, I prefer your smooth jazz improvs....and still try to play along on my chroms. Maybe someday I could muddle along on my Buddha harps :)

Thanks man, that means a lot coming from you. You were one of the guys whose Youtube videos I looked up all the time when I was starting on the harp.

Do you like and know JIMMY REED?
If so I like to invite you to my site to watch my tribute to him - an animated short film of 74 seconds with newly recorded music.
I hope we meet us again.
