Charlese

Charlese & Matt met in 2004 in Matt's home town of Liverpool whilst Charlese was studying at Paul McCartney's Institute of Performing Arts. They soon recognised their unique chemistry & mutual appreciation for anything truly soulful. They started gigging together in 2005 & decided to make it a full time operation in 2009. With residencies across the North-West & private functions across the UK they have become a force to be funked with!

Although they have a wide appreciation of music that spans time & genre, their roots always remain loyal to soul & funk. Matt, actually a percussionist before a guitarist, brings incredible, unbreakable groove & feel whilst Charlese delivers a powerfully heartfelt & engaging performance. Priding themselves on a spontaneous & earthy performance, the two rarely deliver the same act twice, putting their own unique stamp on everything they perform.
