I wish we had more public service announcements around here that educate about MI and Stigma. Actually, we haven't had one of those in years here. Wonder what happened to it.

what a nice thing to do, to help rid this chemical imbalances STIGMA. my family has alittle bit of agitated-depression, tremors and rapid speech/thoughts and it's very annoying. but in canada they're is a natural substance (minerals) that have been nipping this dreadful thing and i hope to try it myself soon. EMPOWERPLUS by TrueHope. it's like this org, very human and they will personally chat with you by phone. karen peterson-weeks of stratford NJ

I have been watching and writing about the Celebrities Making A Difference series that aired the week of November 9, 2009 on NBC Nightly News. Glenn Close was featured on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 and I learned of her wonderful service with Bring Change 2 Mind as well as Fountain House. Check out my work by subscribing back and going to affrodite(dot)net. I've reposted this video as a part of my commentary on the series. I'm glad to see work like this being done. Keep it up!

Thank you so much. I have bipolar disorder. I can't stop crying right now and this time it is not because of depression! It is because I am so inspired and thankful that finally someone is DOING SOMETHING about stigma. I have had a lot of ups and downs with my illness (as we all have) and the most difficult part of the struggles were in relation to stigma - not the illness itself.

It's amazing to see something so simple start changing a complex mislead world. As husband, supporter to my bipolar wife, 1:10 minutes has already brought change to my mind. Listening to others talk about not having a wheel chair, a cast, or an arm to show people they are suffering from disease or handicap really opened up my eyes. Erase The Stigma.
