About this user

As a keen historian, obviously I find myself naturally interested in all things historical. However, my main love in life is the work of preserved raiwlays and steam engines up and down the country, although my personal preference is for those of the former Southern railway.

My passion first came to light as a young child, and has since progressed through my first visit to my local line, the Bluebell, on to volunteering for a short while and now aiming to go out as often as possible to photograph railways, both in a heritage and modern idium, as well as video some of the more interesting ones.

In addition to railways, sport is a major hobby of mine, notably football (as an avid Manchester United supporter) but especially cricket (Sussex and England).
