The Greens are Australia's longest running fad and all this chest beating from rusted on Green crusaders will look pretty silly after the next election when Labor has taken the wind out of your sails and you have nothing left to fight for (or against).

Well said Jeff. If people actually took the time to look at the Democrats website they'd realise that they DO have policies - and bloody good ones too. If people took the time to look at what the Democrats have achieved they'd realise they've done a BRILLIANT job. The only people who criticise the Australian Democrats are lazy, ignorant peole who are unwilling to make even the slightest effort to become informed of the policies of the party. I, for one, am incredibly grateful for the efforts of the Australian Democrats and congratulate all in the party for their incredible achievements over the past 30 years and hope that they continue their brilliant work for another 30 years. The Dems hardly present the illusion of choice. The issue sheets on the Dems website provide over 125 examples of "real choices."

The lack of media coverage is not through want of trying. All minor parties are struggling with exposure. Short of advertising, which is bloody expensive, there is little more the Dems can do.

Its a shame that the Democrats dont push for more media attention and actually get stuck into the electoral proceedings, since the announcement of the election i havent seen ANY coverage of the Democrats on TV or in the papers. Why?

Rudd isnt much better, and the only reason he seems to be garnering so much support is because people just want Howard gone.
How about the Democrats step up and give us a real choice instead of the illusion of choice?
