About this user
Since 1937 Andrew Wright Windows have been serving the community and are the Company of choice in the West of Scotland for windows, doors, roofline, flat roof replacement, conservatories and sunrooms.
Even 70 years ago Andrew Wright was the biggest glazing firm in the West of Scotland. In 1938, the Company was the main glazing contractor for the British Empire Exhibition, held at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow. There are several buildings from that exhibition still standing, glazing intact!
Andrew Sloan Wright, founder of the Company, was also Chairman of Ayr Unitied and actively involved with the Club for over 20 years.
After World War 2, Andrew Wright Glass won the contract to re-glaze blitz-damaged Belfast, yet another prestigious undertaking.
The Company is family-owned, employing over 300 skilled workers, producing a very special product and service entirely made in Ayrshire by Andrew Wright Windows and Andrew Wright Glass at their own factories. With showrooms in Irvine and Ayr and two manufacturing plants in Irvine alongside the Head Office, Andrew Wright is one of the most important employers in the area.
