Ok thank you, that makes total sense. People were saying it was a car window and I knew it wouldn't be possible to show that kind of fluctuation with a car window. I appreciate the response.

Sorry, the gravity wave lapse was getting too many spam comments to allow comments. The black at the top is the underside of the camera dome. I keep it in the image to help the camera deal with the bright sky versus the ground.

I like the gravity lapse video, but it's doctored. Might want to watch out for the top letterbox when you use warp effects (Especially at 0.25, its rippin kinda nasty there). Beautiful video either way.

If you are using Sony Vegas, just pan in and you can avoid this.
