Hi! I'm an American girl and I want to go to Russia! <3
I plan to go in the 2012-2013 year, and I'm doing all I can to prepare for it as well as trying to earn scholarships because, I'm not going to lie, my family is not made of money :]
My dad is an immigrant from Russia, and he's always telling my brothers and I how Russian we look and how we should be proud we are. He also wants me to live with my Russian half-sister in Sochi, Russia, so I want to take this advantage and learn the language fluently! I already know a little, but the next step is at least memorizing the alphabet so I can read, even if I don't know what it is that I am reading.

I hope AFS can offer me this extraordinary oppurtunity and that it opens up my future. I want to take advantage of everything on my exchange and want to come back speaking the language almost fluently (as the Russian language is one of the hardest).

Im trying to sign up for AFS Japan For the year long program, but im a SR next year, so i have to talk to them about it =/ I want this more that anything in the world <3 lol but so do many others =] so BRING IT ON!! hahaha

I might sign up for this program.
I'm not sure. =-/
