Calamanda's Broken Watch is a masterful collaboration, The song seems to be about Calamanda who loses sense of time because she wants to fly. The lyrics are just enough to set that mood and are excellently and expressively sung by Mulder. Along with Voodoo's magical guitar, one does feel taken on an ethereal journey. At 4 minutes the tempo shifts and the piece simply explodes to a new level, and at 6 minutes it lands with a mesmerizing finale, as if one has landed on a cloud. This song to me is like jazz-flamenco-rock fusion that is so unique to a modern listener it's ultra-modern, perhaps ahead of it's time. All I can say is that anyone who finds and hears this piece has found something very, very special and wonderful, in my humble opinion.
