That is great that you are interested in Optometry!! In my freshman year of college I was taking "pre-med" courses. The best thing to do would be to go to your career counselor at your high school and let them know that you are interested in Optometry. You do need to take a lot of courses in science and math and it is not easy but, if it is something that you really want then go for it!
