About Vadim Repin
Vadim Repin was born in Novosobirsk in 1971. He studied the violin with Zakhar Bron. Won the Wieniawsky competition at age 11, the Tibor Varga competition in 1988 and was the youngest ever winner of the Queen Elisabeth competition in 1989 at age 17. Vadim Repin's artistry combines fiery passion with impeccable technique, poetry and sensitivity. "Simply the best, the most perfect violinist I have ever heard " said Yehudi Menuhin.
