We are a group of sinners that have acknowledged our actions before a Holy God, and recognized there was no way of reconciling our position before Him.We humbly, willfully bowed down before Him in heart and accepted His only begotten Son for full payment of our debt. He graciously accepted our repentant action and were born again in His Spirit. That spirit hungers for the Word of God, that spirit leads the believer to do right. God has ordained men to lead and instituted the local assembly with His manual for instruction.
Sheep follow Him and those that oppose Him are goats according to scripture.
We preach what we believe to be the very words of God. We, by His grace, are determined to follow our Lord unto death and by His grace, grow in knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There are many religious institutions, but their authority is not the Word of God. They are political organizations that have misrepresented Christianity and have killed true believers throughout history. Naturally, statements I have made can be backed up and verified.
We are called Bible Believing Baptists. There are those that have the name, but are not ruled by the Bible. We are self-governing and propagate the Gospel. We acknowledge the dual nature of Christians and therefore preach the whole counsel of God. The flesh under control honors God.
We are here to please Him. We need to know what it is that upsets Him. Preaching does this and preaching edifies; so the child of God will serve Him out of love, not fear like a little child before he is grown.
To the unsaved, preaching is foolishness, to the carnal Christian, preaching is mean spirited with a bunch of dos & donts. But, to the saved, its the power of God, to the mature its the warnings of God to protect us from falling back into sin.
At Victory Baptist, we are determined to remain faithful to the Book, waiting for the undertaker or uppertaker. EVEN SO COME LORD JESUS
