About Me:

Hey... people.

Now, I'm not exactly sure what to write here, yet (which might be something people write a lot... I don't know...) Right now I'm just experimenting with this awful lot of stuff you can set, change, adapt, delete or just transform in any way on YT.

OK, some basics... I'm Mike, and Im from a kind of... well, its a kind of parallel dimension. My home world is called Blum Kulka (this is a close as you can get to its original sound using Latin letters). Been banned from there, however. So, now Im living in a not too famous German city of Saarbruecken, which is on the German-French border. Which is not really huge, but for someone who has been banned from his home world without being told what to do or where to go now, it was still an awfully lucky coincidence to get here. And as fas as I can tell now, there is always something going on worth telling the world about. Just gotta notice such things.

What else... Ah, I'm a huge film fan, or at least, used to be... Or, at least, as huge as I can be a fan of anything. Which is not freakishly, mindbogglingly „fanish, but... lets say, its been my greatest hobby since I was 10 or 11. I guess, the movie that is most responsible for this would be T2, which I was lucky enough to see in a theater back then, in 1991 (right after before I saw the first one, again in a real movie theater; now, who of you can claim to have seen all four of them in a movie theater? Ha?).
But generally, you folks still make great flics here. In my world, we watched them to, you know. One of the few things that won't let you go nuts there.
Actually, our world is pretty much like yours (except that we can build machines that can send you to parallel dimensions, of course, otherwise I couldn't have stuck here, obviously)... Only far more depressing.

I also love books, loved them since... probably always; loved them even before I learned how to read. Read all kinds of stuff, without any preferences (although I prefer funny books by British authors).
Apart from that, I spend most of my spare time learning languages, making videos or taking pictures which no one needs (doesnt make it less fun, though), learning Wing Chun Kung Fu, trying to play something on my keyboard in a way that people would recognize what song it is supposed to be (or, at least, that its supposed to be music and not just random key hitting caused by frustration or madness) or writing down some weirs ideas Ill probably never use for anything...

So, this should do for a start...

P. S. Yes, I do love suspension points, too...
Country:
Germany
Movies:
Now, this can take a while... Blade Runner, Pulp Fiction, LOTR (especially, the first one), Chicago, Cable Guy, The Fifth Element, Mortal Kombat, the early Van Damme flics (Doulbe Impact, Timecop, Universal Soldier), Clerks, Super Mario Bros, Dark City, Jim Carrey's comedies... Hongkong movies (Jackie Chan, John Woo, Jet Li etc), Police Story, City Hunter, The Killer, Hard Boiled, The Tai Chi Master, Mad Mission, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, to name a few... The movies of Robert Rodriguez and Paul Verhoeven, movies from the 80s, like "Back to the Future". You know what I mean, the ones that have this special 80s flair... Of course, Terminator, Robocop and Star Wars, which are THE movies I grew up with, so they are... well, just special for me. TV Shows... Moonlighting, Twin Peaks, Friends, Star Trek, especially TNG and DS9, 24, The Flash, News Radio, Alf, Hill Street Blues, Sledge Hammer, Martial Law, Santa Barbara :)
Music:
Nothing specific, don't like rap and hip-hop, though.Oldies, 70s, 80s, Boney M, Roxette, musicals (Andrew Lloyd Webber), chansons, movie soundtracks, Henry Mancini, don't mind classical music...
Books:
"Go for it" by Irene Kassorla (a book which helped me a lot)"Round Ireland with a Fridge" by Tony Hawks (read it, and you'll understand my passion for British authors)"High Fidelity" (and others) by Nick Hornby"Zen: The Secret Power Within" by Chuck Norris, a huge inspiration if you're doing any martial arts, and you just can't help but respect the man, doesn't matter if you share his attitudes..."Ubik" by Philip Dick (for the ones who liked "Vanilla Sky")"Cambridge Grammar" :D :D :D

Christian
