Mitchell Cancer Institute

Just a few short years ago, we opened the doors of our state-of-the-art, integrated cancer treatment and research facility. Since then, the University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Institute has grown to provide cancer treatments to over 6,500 patients, generating over 58,000 patient visits in the last fiscal year alone. With approximately 300 employees and an expanding clinical and research base, the Mitchell Cancer Institute is on a positive trajectory to become a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, serving the Central Gulf Coast region.
