UCAN's mission is to build strong youth and families through compassionate healing, education and empowerment. Since its founding in 1869 UCAN has remained dynamic, evolving with the tremendous challenges facing disadvantaged children, their caregivers and families. Over time, UCAN has grown into a multi-faceted social service organization which today serves more than 13,000 at-risk children, youth and families across the state of Illinois.
