Police located a man suffering from obvious stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery. The victim succumbed to his injuries a number of hours later. The victim has been identified as Michael Cocomello, 20. He is also known as Michael Mandino. The motive is not known at this time. Witnesses are continuing to come forward to assist with the investigation. Witnesses Call Det/Sgt Pauline Gray re: Edwin Villon Martin Grove/Westway Homicide On Sept16 2012Homicide #37/2012, Edwin Villon, 33, (correct spelling is "Villon" with an "o") Update, Photograph of vehicle released and appeal for witness to come forward Broadcast time: 15:05 Monday, March 4, 2013 23 Division 416−808−7400 On Sunday, September 16, 2012, at 7 a.m., police responded to a call for unknown trouble in the Martin Grove Road/The Westway area. The investigation has determined that the victim, shortly before or at the time of his murder, was in a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder with very distinctive rims and tires. It is believed that, after Edwin Villon was shot, the suspect drove off in the 1998 Nissan Pathfinder. On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, 42 Division officers responded to an arson call in the northeast area of the city. The vehicle which was set ablaze was the 1998 Nissan Pathfinder connected to Edwin Villon's murder. Police have received information that a person or persons saw the Pathfinder in the area of Toronto Pearson International Airport in the early afternoon of September 17, 2012.
