About Me:
My name is Thiago Campos, guitarist for bands Bad Salad and VRA!, based in Brasília, Brazil.
Here you'll find all sorts of videos. Originals, covers, online collaborations, full band rehearsals and gigs. You'll notice a lot of Dream Theater material, since we have a tribute project for them with VRA!.
Besides guitar playing, I've also increasingly taken interest into mixing, and audio engineering in general. Some of the videos here will showcase my efforts in this area aswell.

The Split-Screen Covers is a project to collaborate with musicians online and cover the songs we love. It started as a way for a few friends to play Dream Theater's music together and will soon be expanded to other bands due to it's popularity among the fans.

╟►VRA! (Covers and Originals)

VRA is the name we give to any musical project involving myself, Felipe Campos and César Zolhof. Be it covers or originals. It started back in 2002 as a joke and stands behind our collaborations to this day. A specific 'project' might include other musicians, but if any one of the 3 core members is missing it isn't "really" VRA! We are very passionate about it and hope you can enjoy whatever we put out! VRA!
For a short while both the Split-Screen Covers project and Bad Salad were "VRA!" in a way. Now that César Zolhof has quit playing the keyboards he isn't a part of those projects anymore, so they no longer relate to "VRA!".
Having said that, after 3 videos of the "Split-Screen Covers" being co-titled as "VRA!" it is only natural that people have associated both names, so it's okay to call this particular project as being the work of "VRA!".
The future of "VRA!" (as the original trio) is as it's always have been, uncertain, but in all honesty, is not something to look forward to, given the circumstances.

► [How long have you been playing the guitar for?]
- I've owned a guitar since I was 10 years old, but been playing "seriously" from about 15-16 on. I'm now 28.
► [Can you send/make me the tabs for ______ song/solo?]
- Sorry, but I don't have any tabs. I learn most of what I play by ear and don't write any of it out. I either memorize it or relearn it whenever I need to play it again. Thankfully my memory serves me well for these purposes. I hope my videos are enough to help you with learning some of what you want to play.
► [Do you use any drive/distortion pedal to boost the amp?]
- No. Never felt the need to have one. Not for recording anyway.
► [What is your recording software / DAW?]
- I am currently using mostly Cakewalk Sonar for recording and mixing.
