All of the current conflicts in the world has religious differences as basis. (Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia/Ethiopia, Israel/Palestine etc)
Besides that, religion has a very bad history of oppressing people, as well as limiting research on interesting areas, critical thinking, abusing homosexuals and women etc.

I study Architecture in the UK. I also love philosophy, history, science, politics and art. I find religion fascinating, and do not hate anyone. But my view is that a slightly less religious world is a slightly better world.

I believe in freedom of speech. I have never deleted any of your comments, no matter how much you make fun of yourself trying to offend me.
I believe in happiness. Not only for myself, but for the greatest amount of people possible. I am a utilitarian. I therefore wish all Muslims and Christians well, but you still believe in a pretty stupid set of dogmas.

Tom Waits have some great songs, and I love his musical style. I also love the Norwegian band Kaizers Orchestra, The Beatles, Bob Marley and many more.
Books:
The bible. Nothing is more fun to read. But it is rather sad that 1/3 of the Worlds population believes in it.
The Qur'an is also rather amusing. Have you noticed how Allah transforms everyone into apes when they do something wrong? I guess evolution goes wrong way in that part of the world.

First of all, maybe you should learn to spell your denomination before supporting it so strongly. It's Christian for future reference. Second of all I'm pretty sure that the reason pretty much all people who don't believe in God is because is not because they are afraid of being made fun of. I for one used to be a Christian but then I realized that scientists can prove their studies, they have evidence and facts to back it up. Where as Christians have a single book written by a bunch of people who were in all likely hood crazy saying everything in this book that they wrote is the undeniable truth. When Christians can come up with some evidence that God exists, please let me know. And don't be like "Miracles are proof that God exists and they happen every day" no, Miracles are actually extremely rare occurrences which can be explained after someone takes a minute to evaluate the whole situation.
