The forgotten work of animator Richard Williams is brought back to life with rare films and footage newly found. While we are not affiliated with Mr. Williams, we aim to bring back to the public eye his unfinished animation masterpiece The Thief and the Cobbler. The history behind the film is shown via vintage documentaries. Other films by Williams, his commercials, and other miscellaneous materials are presented to give a fuller picture of his work.

I really like this movie! I have seen two of the three versions and I think both are great. The optical illusions used in the movie are really cool too. It is such a sweet romance movie and I really like the characters, thanks for posting this. This is the first time I have ever seen this movie, and I think it is amazing!

I just watched it for the first time. I did a little research and saw that the Recobbled version was the closest to the creator's original intent so it was the only one I watched. I have never seen its equal when it comes to animation; simply brilliant. The two other remakes have terrible reviews and even the creator's own son has deemed them unwatchable; some scenes in this workprint were hard to watch for the mere fact that it is depressing that this work will never live up to its full potential. Are the other two even worth watching?

I heard of Thief And The Cobbler but I never thought I'd actually get to see it!!!! Not to mention the two remakes and more of the director's work. You deserve my subscription. Hat's off to all of you!!!
