Imagine a system of tubes connecting MILLIONS OF PEOPLE simultaneously to one massive global network. Some call it the Internet, we call it our stage.
TheOnlineMusical.com is a site dedicated to producing interactive, online musical theater content. We invite you, Internet Consumer X, to contribute at every level.
Our first project, "Musical: The Online Musical," is considered by Playbill, Backstage, and the Washington Post to be the first-ever, interactive online musical. The 10-episode, two hour web series was shaped by the YouTube audience. Each week viewers sent in character, song and plot ideas, which were integrated into every episode. Next up we tackled "Mini Musicals" -- we've transformed YouTube fan submissions of pop culture icons, historical moments, or metaphysical concepts into bite-sized musicals!
