About Me:
Eric is a multi-instrumentalist who can hold an audience enthralled with his intricate guitar playing in self-composed numbers such as "Tap O' The Mornin'", and the next minute have them in fits of laughter with his tales of life and characters along the musical road. His voice is perfectly suited to such traditional songs as "Whiskey in the Jar", "Johnny Lad" or "The Jute Mill Song".
However it is as a songsmith that he really excels. His words weave their magic and tell their tales and remain in hearts and minds long after the last encore has been played. It seems that anything can provide inspiration for a song, ranging from the tragedy of a cold-blooded massacre in "Long Way from Miami", through life on the road in "Rock Till I Drop" and "Where the Heart Is", the social conscience of "Politics of Fear" and "England's Disgrace", to the tender romance of "Name A Star After You" and "Perfect Symmetry".
2011 promises to be a busy year, with a new CD being released and concerts and festivals both in the UK and overseas.
Eric Faulkner is a man and musician of rare talent and integrity and each concert is a unique and unforgettable experience.
